Interests: My main site is jennygwennygirl, but this one is strictly for politics. Please feel free to begin a heated debate. I am a die-hard conservative and believe in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, I believe that we should be denied "rights" that are wrong (i.e. abortion), I believe that we should get out of the U.N. ASAP or desolve it altogether, I believe we have the right to keep and bare arms and I believe we should do whatever we can to keep Kerry out of the White House because it will surely be the downfall of our nation.

It makes me so sad that people are trying to take God out of Christmas. What is Christmas without a baby in the Manger? How does "joy to the world" pertain to a bearded man in a read suit?  We have successfully taken God out of public schools, we've sued people for displaying the Ten Commandments publicly, we're trying to take 'under God' out of the pledge of allegiance, on and on we could go. And now, we are trying to take God out of Christmas.

Don't say Christmas, say Holidays. Don't sing about a baby in a manger, sing about something non-offensive such as a fat (ummm! I said fat) man who slides down people's chimneys on Christmas Eve. All under the guise of separation of church and state. Ha! That is the most misinterpreted phrase of the century!

Do we really think the framers of the Constitution (who, if were not Christians, had a deep respect for God and His word, and realized the importance of prayer in all of their meetings) meant that God was to have no part in our country? Why in the world would they pour all of their soul into the precious document they were working so tirelessly to construct, EXCEPT the most important part of their beliefs? Not only leave it out, but contradict their lives? I don't think so. People who believe that is the way the Constitution should be interpreted do not know history. The framers only wanted us to be free of laws similar to those of Henry the VIII and other English rulers (where they came from...see, it all makes sense). Government cannot establish an official religion. We cannot be forced to go to a certain church, pay taxes to it, or acknowledge it in any way. It is "freedom of religion" in more detail. They wanted to make sure they were protected from what they left England for in the first place. This is separation of church and state. And I am very grateful for it.

The way our government interprets it today is exactly what the Founding Father's did NOT want. Our country was founded on God, if you take God out, you are taking out the very foundation on which our country stands. Which, like taking the foundation out from under a building, will completely ruin the United States of America. We cannot just brush this aside. Today, we must fight for our rights in order to keep them.

Unless we want December to be all about a nonexistent man and his band of trusty reindeer in the next ten years or so, we must join others who have already taken a stand. But for now, the next time someone wishes you a 'happy holiday' this season, respond with a hearty 'Merry Christmas!'.

Guys, I really want to start up my new site but I can't unless I come up with a clever little name. It can be long, because I think long names are super annoying and therefore funny. It would also be neato if it had my name in it. Or a nickname (such as Gwenovere, Gwen, Gwenny, Ginger, Gingersnap, Ginge. hehe. Don't ask where all the 'g's came from.). And something that has some sort of politcal content, or political/"talk show" association. So, help me out, I'll be thinkin' too.

Thanks for all the ideas guys! I'm excited about this new site, I just need to think of a name...

I have decided to combine all of your smashing ideas and discuss controversial issues, politics in general, history, and current topics. I look forward to wonderful debates and rivetting controversy! hehe. I also want you guys to start suggesting topics. Once I get my new site up, I would love to hear what you guys want to talk about as well as what I want to talk about .

I will announce my new site soon and I would love to hear any name suggestions...conservationswithjenny? haha. I don't know, I will be thinking. All suggestions will be much appreciated and considered. :)

Alright, I am considering changing my site name. In order to do this though, I would have to create a whole nother site. blah. See, it could be kinda cool to keep this one so in the future we can all say, "Oh, yeah. She started this xanga when educated voters were voting for Bush." Anyway, I am indecisive and open for suggestions. Also, what should the content be? Should it continue to be political? On current topics? On items of interest concerning the history of our great country? Exercise your constitutional rights and tell me what you think.
